Amazing Grace.

There are a lot of odd things that drive churches to do what they do: a. some churches are driven by tradition. b. some churches are motivated by personality. c. some churches are driven by finances. What will drive our church at the core? Grace! This fits not just with my own heart and personality, but with what I see in Scripture again and again. At the heart of the Bible is Jesus and His Good News. The Good News is the Gospel. And at the heart of the Gospel is Grace… God’s grace given through His Son. God’s grace is our vision and I want Grace to drive our church. Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no vision, or purpose, the people perish.” God’s grace displayed, announced, proclaimed, and lived out is our vision and our purpose. |
